![]() | Resting in God's Presence Nehemiah 8:10 declares that "the joy of the Lord is your strength." God desires that we have great joy as we delight in and rejoice in Him. The various festivals that God provided for the people of Israel were to be times of joy and rejoicing in His presence. Today we can experience this joy at all times. The circumstances of life are constantly changing and oftentimes can be quite difficult, but we can be joyful in the midst of the trials of life. Jesus Christ exemplifies that truth. He lived with great joy even when facing sufferings and death. Today we live in light of the work that he has finished for us. Every day for us should be a continual feast, for he has brought us into intimate fellowship with our Father, in whose presence is fullness of joy. |
