Although many are seeking to understand how to become more effective leaders, few fail to realize that the Scriptures provide the true foundation for servant leadership. Jesus Christ stands in contrast to the leadership style of the world and what God desires for those who want to be leaders in His kingdom. He stated that "...Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, And whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matt 20:27&28 NLT).
