![]() | The Revelation of God's Thoughts and Ways If we desire to walk powerfully with God, we must understand the relationship between the word of God and the spirit we have received from Him. This study shows that the word always comes into manifestation through a working of the spirit of God. This is true of the spoken word, the written word, and the word in the flesh.
Jesus always carried out the will of his Father and did His works. Likewise, we have been chosen by God to walk in good works that God has prepared for us. These works are obviously in the mind and will of God until we walk in them. Then they become manifested.
Jesus explained in John 16:7 that he would send the comforter, the holy spirit. This holy spirit would connect us to the Father and the Son, enabling us to do the same works he did and even greater works (John 14:12).
Just as Jesus did the things he saw his Father do, so do we. If we are to do these works, we must spend time with the Father by reading and meditating in the Scriptures and by prayer. By doing this, we let Him reveal to us the works He has before prepared for us to walk in. He reveals this to us by the spirit.
